Fixing bad results produced by Nano Banana

Although Nano Banana is a great image editing tool, sometimes it produces really bad results.

It becomes a kid who doesn't want to listen to you.

But don't worry.

You can use refinement prompts to fix the bad results and, if necessary, we have to teach Nano Banana how something works.

This is the best way to get the results you want.

Come on, let's dive deep into this technique by going through a couple of examples.

Here is a picture of a woman standing in the middle of the road with a lot of people walking behind her.

And I asked Nano Banana to remove all the people walking behind her.

Nano Banana removed the people, but it still kept one of them.

So, I used a follow-up prompt asking Nano Banana to:

And to my luck, it worked 😁

And I am calling it a luck because Nano Banana is unpredictable.

Sometimes it respects my request, and sometimes it doesn't.

But here is a way to make Nano Banana more predictable.

Teaching Nano Banana how something works can put you in control of the quality of the result.

For example, I want Nano Banana to blend the following images together:

So, I uploaded them to Nano Banana and said:

And here is the result:

As you can see, Nano Banana indeed made the woman hold the puppy.

But it gave an extra hand to the woman for just holding that puppy.

So, I said:

And because I explained to Nano Banana that a human should only have two hands, it listened to me and generated a valid result.

Otherwise, it kept generating bad results without removing the extra hand.

But anyway, the pose was still kinda awkward.

So, I used yet another follow-up prompt to convey that the woman should hold the puppy in a natural way.

And I finally got the result that I wanted.

Having said that, if this technique is not working for you for whatever reason, just create a new chat and start from scratch again.

The thing is, Nano Banana generates a different result every time you create a new chat.

So, even if you are trying to work on the same task, Nano Banana can generate a good result.

But you need to have patience for creating as many new chats as needed.

It happened to me many times. And this new chat technique had only worked out for me sometimes.

Nevertheless, it worked.
